I’m really excited about my work being in this really important fundraising exhibition with a few other great artists. The money raised by the Showcase exhibition will go towards the GAP program which help teens coming from tough backgrounds who are struggling to fit into the school system.

As part of the 2015 Colosoul social calendar, Colosoul are hosting a SHOWCASE event. The event will be A Masked Fundraiser, set to take place in Perth’s CBD. It will be accommodated by both our creative Colosoul Basement headquarters and the newly refurbished WA Museum space, located at 115-117 Barrack Street.

Colosoul has been in operation as a NFP media and arts organisation since 2005. Outside of our publishing, recording, designing and humanitarian endeavours, Colosoul operate two mentorship programs.

This event will support and publicise Colosoul’s GAPProgram (Got Absolute Potential). The program has been developed specifically for 13-17 years olds who don’t necessarily fit into the normal schooling system. Due to their circumstances, these youths may consequently find it difficult to obtain employment later in life. To counteract this, GAP looks to develop their skills and build their confidence, whilst additionally giving them the ability to obtain relevant certification through our online education system ACAS.

The two hosting venues are just a floor apart from each other. The Colosoul team will be utilising both levels to create a dynamic two-storey experience. Guests will be invited to move through the venues and discover featured entertainment through the inner-workings of the Colosoul world.

Whilst introducing the new WA Museum space, we will also be presenting our creative workspace, art gallery, pop-up shops, recording area and photo studio.

The Masked Fundraiser will seek to raise awareness and funds for our GAP Program,whilst also showcasing the Colosoul Group and its diverse organisations and teams.

Correspondingly, this event will also promote and support Colosoul’s endeavours to find a new building for it’s volunteers and members. Sadly, Colosoul’s current space is due to be redeveloped in July 2016 and we are on the look out for new headquarters.

Please remember this is a charitable event.Colosoul are about community and connecting with youths. Philanthropic to the core, we spend much of our energy supporting others who cannot speak up for themselves. Our SHOWCASE events bring funds, awareness, education and understanding to the local community, and these organised proceedings are vital to Colosoul and its incentives.
