Just recently I painted my parent in-laws truck ready for a trip to the outback. I couldn’t have asked for better working conditions being constantly offered cakes, snacks and tea. One of the perks of working for family.

Rod and Glenda spend a lot of time up north in beautiful places like Karajini camp hosting so were keen to have some Western Australian desert animals painted on the sides of their truck. Their favourites are the spectacular looking Desert Perentie and Olive Python.

I learned a lot about the two animals while painting them and looking up different images of them on the internet. They both have beautiful patterns and colours on them especially the Perentie. I can’t wait to visit the desert again and try to spot some (from a distance…they’re a little scary).

Cloud Appreciation Society

Looks like the Cloud Appreciation Society appreciates my cloud painting! What…you didn’t realise there was a Cloud Appreciation Society? Well…what’s not to appreciate about those beautiful fluffy shapes in the sky, constantly changing shape and colours like a giant lava lamp. If you haven’t come across it already you should check out their website or Facebook page. There are some amazing photographers and artists capturing all kinds of beautiful clouds including mine which was a commissioned piece that I did recently.
