This drawing is a part of my “Floating Head” series. I just really wanted to draw this alpaca head because it looks so hilarious and made me laugh as soon as I saw it. That’s pretty much my criteria for heads to draw in my “Floating Head” series. If I spontaneously laugh when I see an animal’s face then I have to draw it’s kooky head straight away. I just really don’t like serious art. I think it should make you feel good and maybe even make you laugh.

Apparently it’s also known as a Muntjac and is the oldest known deer, appearing 15-35 million years ago, with remains found in Miocene deposits in France, Germany and Poland.
